Visiting Leigh-on-Sea

Where to stay, how to get here, and ideas for a day by the estuary.

Where to stay

Leigh itself has only a few places to stay; Westcliff and Southend, a few minutes away, have many more. The app lists them all with holiday lets.

Getting here

By train

Leigh-on-Sea station is on the c2c line from London Fenchurch Street, a short walk from Old Leigh.

By car

Old Leigh gets busy on sunny weekends, so arrive early. Parking is pay and display.

Tides

At low tide the estuary empties and the boats sit on the mud; high tide is best for the seafront. Today's tide times are on the Sea today page.
